For a contest...yeah I'm a little late. It's Kyo and Yuya from Samurai Deeper Kyo. I took the liberties of making Yuya's hair a little darker than normal for easier shading.
hmm.. i've never seen this before but the guy is really good, fix his arms please!!!!! he angle between his arm and his wrist/hand/fingers is off... it is really apparent -.- not trying to be mean .. the left side of the picture, his arm, i don't think it can be that thick... i really like the rest of the picture though
Good to see some more contrast in the picture! This is rather beautiful, the shading on the hair is particularly wonderful, and excellent expressions too, they really highlight the mood of the picture. Form and features are very well defined as always, I admire your ability to suggest such organic shapes with the way you shade your pictures. Really, our styles are quite alike..
And yes I agree with hurin999, the right arm looks a bit thick and/or flat, and the left hand is wonky.. all it needs is to have the fingers straightened.
Anyway, great picture as always. Keep them coming!
thanks again r711. i love your reviews because they actually say things other than "omg that's awesome". It's great to see people can look at art and comment like you do
I guess our styles aren't so different, but then again i haven't drawn anime like this in a long time.....

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
